Biography

Samantha works in University on a part-time basis and runs her own consultancy. She has experience of working in the private and not for profit sectors. Her current role is to design and deliver professional development workshops and work with senior management to help them improve the approaches and processes in Impact and Innovation in their research institutes. She has developed and facilitated courses with two Research Councils, BBSRC and EPSRC. In addition to this, Samantha runs her own training and development company working with the public, private and not-for-profit sector. She has directed the National NESTA Crucible Programme nationally and worked with NESTA to capture and create all the materials to create Crucible in a Box, an on-line resource for use in universities. Samantha’s particular are of interest are people that are enterprising at work, sometimes described as ‘intrapreneurs’. She has spent a number of years researching these people and using their stories in a variety of workshops which she plans to turn into a book – one of these days.
