Dr Sarah Mohammad-Qureshi
Organisation
University of Manchester
Job title
Researcher Development Officer
Biography
Sarah joined the Graduate and Researcher Development Team in early 2015, where she is responsible for providing support and training to research staff. This includes one-to-one support, stand-alone workshops and longer programmes, such as the HEA accredited Teaching for Researchers. Prior to this role, Sarah gained her PhD in Biochemistry and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at The University of Manchester. Alongside her research career Sarah voluntarily undertook many researcher development roles. This included editing the internal research staff training and development newsletter ‘Incite’ and preparing and delivering postgraduate training material, for which she was awarded the Faculty of Life Sciences Research Staff Teaching Award for Innovation. The Researcher Parent Trap developed from a hugely popular article that Sarah wrote for Incite which was inspired by her own, largely challenging experience of being a researcher parent.
