Sarah Boyce
Biography
After studying BSc (Hons) Genetics and Microbiology followed by a PGCE, Sarah embarked on a Science teaching career, enjoying 12 years teaching in South Yorkshire secondary schools. Sarah returned to academia in 2018 to study MSc Biomedical Science at Sheffield Hallam University and is now in her second year of PhD research working in their Biomolecular Sciences Research Centre.
She was recently awarded AFHEA status through her work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and is an active STEM Ambassador. She loves communicating her research in a range of contexts, from biofilm crochet to recently presenting in Barnsley pub!
