Yasna Najmi

Biography

Yasna Najmi qualified as a dentist from Pakistan where she was awarded a Gold Medal and achieved 2 distinctions. She then moved to the UK to complete her Masters in Clinical Dentistry in Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry, where she achieved a distinction in her dissertation and was awarded Student of the Year. In 2020, she received a PhD scholarship on her topic 'Effects of Green Tea Mouthwash on Peri-mucositis' from Ulster University and College of Medicine and Dentistry where she is currently treating patients with gum disease and working on finding a herbal and safer alternative to treating gum diseases. 

Her passion for teaching and dentistry led her to apply for the AFHEA and she assists her supervisors and professors in teaching research as well as clinical dentistry to post graduate dental students.
