Host a 'women in spin-outs' focus group

Would you be interested in hosting a focus group with doctoral candidates and/or early career researchers in STEM departments during the early part of 2020?

As part of the ‘Inclusion Matters’ research programme funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), Vitae is collaborating with Oxford Brookes University on a 'women in spin-outs' project.

The overall aim of this project is to achieve a step change in institutional capabilities to increase the participation of women scientists, engineers and mathematicians in university spin-out companies. 

We are interested to hear from PhD candidates/early career researchers on their current research work and career trajectory as well as understanding their awareness of the enterprising possibilities available to them. The focus group be interactive and participants can learn more about the process of spinning out their research. 

Participants will be asked to sign a consent form permitting the audio-recording of the focus-group which will be analysed by researchers from the Centre for Diversity Policy Research and Practice at Oxford Brookes University.
