By invitation, this meeting brings a cross-section of Vitae membership together to explore the interim findings from the researcher development strategy, provision, and profession survey 2022.


IP for research Live Lectures 2022: bookings now closed

Following on from the success of the virtual Live Lectures in the previous IP for Research programmes, Vitae and the IPO is again offering free online live lectures within the 2021/22 programme. These events aim to increase the Intellectual Property (IP) knowledge and skills of doctoral and early career researchers and facilitate relationships within institutions to support the management and development of IP, as well as answering the central question of why researchers should care about IP.


Vitae festive networking 2021

This community-driven networking event is an opportunity for those who support the career and professional development of researchers to come together and reflect on events and learning from 2021, to make new connections and renew old ones. It will also be an opportunity to lift spirits and have a little fun at the end of what has been a difficult year for all.

Vitae member forums October and November 2021

Following on from our thematic member forums earlier in the year, Vitae invites members to join these perspective-based forums to consider issues relevant to their role and to meet and discuss with others in similar roles.


Vitae Member Forum, Australia

This Vitae Forum will bring together our Members in Australia to discuss regional priorities and projects, and to consider perspectives on the evolution of Vitae membership to support and connect our global members for the future. This event is open to anyone from an Vitae member organisation in Australia.



Vitae Connections Week 2021

Take part in Vitae Connections Week 2021 (#VitaeCon2021); a collection of live and pre-prepared opportunities for knowledge and practice sharing, networking and discussion among those with an interest in researcher development globally. The week of online activities will run from 7 to 10 September and will include live-streamed keynote presentations, small-group interactive and discussion sessions, our popular poster session and exhibition area reimagined for remote access, as well as the Vitae 3MT competition 2021 final, sponsored by Taylor & Francis.


The RDF: now and for the future

A Member Event In 2020, Vitae embarked on a series of projects that aim to revisit and potentially refresh some aspects of the RDF and RDS. These projects take account of changes to the research environment and culture over the past 10 years and, at the same time, look forward and anticipate The changes to come over the next 10 years.

Continuing our annual programme theme of community conversation, we will be hosting a number of Vitae member forums in April, May and June covering a variety of topics and challenges relevant to the Vitae community. These forums will be an opportunity to meet and discuss with peers from across Vitae membership and will be of interest to those involved in or responsible for supporting the development of researchers.


Branching out with CEDARS: a practice sharing event

As we near the beginning of the benchmarking year for the Culture, Employment and Development in Academic Research Survey (CEDARS) we invite members to come together to learn more about how CEDARS can support your institutional strategy and future planning, have the opportunity to discuss results of the 2020 CEDARS pilot with peers and share practice on engaging your researcher population with surveys.
