Research Staff Futures: Enhancing Professional Effectiveness aims to help new Research Staff and Academics make an effective start with their research careers. It focuses on two important themes being more effective in the face of diverse and competing responsibilities and working more effectively with others. Vitae's ‘Every Researcher Counts' flexible suite of resources can help. These resources are for staff developers and principal investigators to ensure that, in relation to research staff, equality and diversity issues are understood, visible and prioritised in HEIs.

The first annual Vitae regional meetings provide an opportunity for practice sharing, networking, and implications of strategic policy developments on researcher development provision.
