The session focuses on Responsible research and innovation (RRI) and will feature expert speakers providing different insights: 

Speakers:

  • Professor William Kerr, Associate Deputy Principal Research & Knowledge Exchange, University of Strathclyde, will provide an introduction to Strathclyde’s approach to responsible research and innovation.
  • Emily Webb, University of Aberdeen will give an overview of RRI and talk about the NUCLEUS project from the European Commission to inform strategy for responsible research and innovation.

Activity exploring the competencies of researchers in the context of RRI and Researcher Development. This session will take a practical look at preparing researchers for effective engagement with RRI.

 Participants are invited to help shape the Vitae programme for 2017/18  by discussing their interests and raising priority topics for consideration.

 This session will also include a recap of how members shaped  the 2016/17 programme.
