The Vitae Policy Forum 2013

Event overview

The Policy Forum was an opportunity to:

• contribute to the development of the proposed RCUK 2013 review into the impact of the funding change for researcher development since the end of the Roberts ring-fenced funding
• explore the challenges and actions needed to achieve a step change in implementing the principles of the Concordat
• inform the development of the HR Excellence in Research Award review mechanisms to provide a useful evaluation and enhancement process for UK institutions
• inform Vitae's relationship and engagement with institutions to best meet the researcher development needs of research staff and postgraduate researchers during the current spending review period and beyond.

 The annual Vitae Policy Forum was an invitation-only event for pro-vice-chancellors or equivalent senior staff who could speak on behalf of the institution.

The event ran from lunchtime on Wednesday 30 January until lunchtime on Thursday 31 January.
