D10 - A novel approach to enabling post-doctoral research staff to become successful, autonomous and independent researchers within 5 years of completion

Day 2 at 13:45 - Launched in 2012, the Vitae RDF Planner (RDF) was developed by Vitae in response to sector- wide requests for an interactive straightforward way for researchers to manage their professional development using the RDF.

A number of positive outcomes and emerging usage models were brought to light as a result of 32 higher education institutions in the UK piloting the Planner between October 2012 and March 2013. A report detailing the outcomes was released in July 2013.

This workshop explored the new features that were implemented as a result of the pilot and the emerging models of use. Subscribing institutions provided case studies of their experiences in using the Planner, how they are benefiting from their subscription and how they are implementing the Planner within their organisation.
