P15 - Supporting Early Career Researchers: tackling non-attendance, supporting grant applications, and developing rejection resilience in one fell swoop!

One of the key issues facing researcher development is non-attendance at training programmes due to workload, lack of engagement in the subject area/programme, timing of events, and other factors. Feedback from our Early Career Researchers in particular indicates that they need more support and mentoring when developing grant applications, and developing resilience in dealing with rejection. Our poster will highlight the ways that we in Research and Innovation Services at Northumbria are tackling non-attendance, supporting grant applications, and developing rejection resilience; by looking at our funding training for Early Career Researchers and developing a new and innovative provision both with and for them.
