Abstract |
A programme of individual ‘1-to-1’ careers support/coaching for ECR’s was introduced in October 2017 at Exeter. The programme supports and features as a major contributor to the institutional HR Excellence Award. This enhancement the programme of careers support for ECR’s was based on feedback from a range of sources including career development sessions, ECR Liaison Forum’s and the Researcher Development Manager. Feedback from CROS also supported the development of the programme with 47% of the respondents in 2017 stating aid that they would like to undertake career management CPD activities. ECR’s book for either a face to face session (available across all campuses) or via skype or telephone. They have the opportunity to arrange a follow up appointment to review progress as needed. In the 2017-18 academic year 40 individual appointments were attended which has increased to 75 (c. 8% of the ECR total cohort) in 2018-19 to date. |
