Vitae member roundtable events June 2020

Register your interest

Throughout June, we will be hosting a series of roundtable discussions for researcher developers on a variety of relevant topics and challenges that we as a community are currently facing.

We would be keen to hear from you about what topics would be of interest, some suggestions we have received so far include:

  • supporting doctoral candidates at different stages of their PhD
  • implementing the Concordat for research staff and their managers, post-Covid-19
  • pressures on the Higher Education system and the place of researcher development
  • maintaining community connections remotely, for researchers and researcher developers.

Following the success of the Vitae Connections: Getting to grips event that took place virtually on Thursday 14 May, we will also be hosting a roundtable dedicated to delivery of virtual events and training.

The aim of these discussions will be to help maintain and share, in a virtual manner, those useful coincidental conversations and serendipitous moments that often occur when attending live events and meeting face-to-face, which can be developed into good ideas and practice.

We hope that this will be an opportunity for the community to come together, bringing collective experiences to the table, as well as sustaining connections within the community.
