In March 2009 Vitae began the management and funding of the development of a framework for researchers, in collaboration with the higher education sector and other stakeholders. This research led to the generation of the Vitae Researcher Development Framework (RDF) in 2010 and the associated Vitae Researcher Development Statement (RDS) in 2012.

In 2020, Vitae embarked on a series of projects that aim to revisit and potentially refresh some aspects of the RDF and RDS. These projects take account of changes to the research environment and culture over the past 10 years and, at the same time, look forward and anticipate the changes to come over the next 10 years.

We invite members to come together on 22 June 2021 to learn more about the progress of these projects and have the opportunity to discuss reactions and views with peers. We welcome members who would like to share ideas about how the RDF intersects with other frameworks and supports, or underpins other sector or institutional tools and approaches.

About you

This Vitae member event is intended for staff who are involved with RDF at a strategic level.
