Vitae 3MT UK 2014: prizes and sponsors

Our competition winners received some great prizes this year.

Judges choice winner: £3K to spend on public engagement activity, sponsored by RCUK. An excellent opportunity for the recipient to promote their research and to enhance their professional development

This prize was won by Richard Middlemiss of Glasgow University, for his 3 minute presentation 'Saving the world with springs'. Richard has been offered support from the NCCPE in developing his proposal to spend the money.

The 'people's choice' winner got the chance to work with a cartoonist to produce a 3-minute animation based around their research, sponsored by 99Scholars, a new academic event platform for researchers. An innovative way to share research online
