Vitae International Researcher Development Conference 2022
We look forward to welcoming you to Vitae’s annual conference (#VitaeCon2022) for all those with an interest in the policy and practice of global researcher development.
Vitae International Researcher Development Conference 2022 will take place Tuesday 13 September - Thursday 15 September 2022 in an interactive online format, with a face-to-face learning, networking and social event taking place during the afternoon of Monday 26 September and the morning of Tuesday 27 September in London at Etc Venues County Hall.
Bookings are open for this unique opportunity for knowledge and practice sharing, networking and discussion, on topics such as professional and career development, skills training, policy and strategy for employing researchers, and the culture and environment impacting researchers and their careers.
The conference themes for this year will be:
- Cultures, environments, and impacts of researcher development
- Horizon scanning in researcher development (post-Covid 19 and beyond)
- Supporting researchers into, through and beyond the PhD
- Researcher Development Concordat implementation; successes and systemic issues
- UK policy for researcher development; perspectives and predictions

Submit a call for content to the Vitae International Researcher Development Conference 2022
We invite you to submit your call for content proposal relating to an 'online' activity, discussion or presentation, ‘on demand’ content in the form of a short video or document. To create a varied event, both in theme and format, we encourage in person activities, discussions or presentations for the face to face event on the 26 and 27 September.
The Vitae 3MT® competition 2022 final, sponsored by Taylor & Francis, with live online voting, will also be taking place lunchtime on Thursday 15 September 2022.
