ARCHIVE: Call for members to join the CEDARS Steering Group
Note: Following this call a new Steering Group was formed in January 2021.
CEDARS is the new survey of the views and experiences of researchers aligned to the Principles of the revised Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers. It ran for the first time in 2020 and will run again every two years from 2021. It replaces the CROS and PIRLS surveys.
We are looking for new members of the CEDARS Steering Group.
We want the Steering Group to be representative of the sector and welcome applications from a range of institutions and from representatives of national bodies. Members would normally serve for an initial term of two years. The terms of reference can be found here.
We are trying to balance a number of requirements:
- Continuity with the existing group (who will all be invited to reapply)
- A range of institutions represented - including those who are not currently CEDAR-users
- Geographical spread
- Range of occupations, for example researcher/staff developers, human resources specialists, careers advisors, early career researchers, senior researchers
- Range of expertise, for example qualitative and quantitative survey design, evaluation, EDI, cultural change, organisational development, broad disciplinary experience.
If you are interested in joining the CEDARS Steering Group, please complete this expression of interest by midday on Monday 14 December 2020. The first meeting with newly formed Steering Group is planned to take place online early in the New Year.
