Biography                                                                                           

Claire has worked in higher education for over 15 years in roles including research and project management. In her current role Claire facilitates the development of postgraduate research and researcher development activity across the University, this includes: 

  • Coordinating of the University’s Concordat and HR Excellence in Research Award process. 

  • Chairing  the University’s Research Development Group to provide oversight of all PGR and research staff career and professional development training. 

  • Leading on key strategic projects, for example, the OfS and Research England Catalyst funded PGR wellbeing project.  

  • Leading the University’s participation in the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey. 

  • Supporting the Research Staff  Strategy Group’s initiatives to improve the working environment for research staff.
