#VitaeCon2023 exhibition

The conference exhibition is now available to view via the event platform and we invite you to visit the exhibition booths including our gold exhibitors: Epigeum, Innovation-to-Commercialisation of University Research (ICURe), ScientifyRESEARCH, Skillfluence and Taylor & Francis. Dedicated 15-minute exhibitor sessions are being added to the agenda, so look out for more information in the conference agenda.  We encourage you to use the community network to interact directly with #VitaeCon2023 exhibitors in the run up, during and following the event to find out about the products and services you might be able to benefit from.

Vitae Impact, Culture and Engagement (ICE) Awards

Congratulations to those of you who have been nominated for a Vitae ICE Award! The longlist and the shortlist have now been announced for each of the Award categories, which demonstrate the sheer depth and breadth of the work being celebrated by the Awards. We hope you will be able to join us for the Awards ceremony on Monday 25 September. Please note that places for the Gala dinner at the Manchester Revolution Gallery are limited and may need to be booked additionally for some conference ticket types.

Vitae Three Minute Thesis (3MT®)

Following the Vitae 3MT® competition semi-finals, we are excited to announce that the six finalists have now been selected by the independent judging panel

The final will be broadcast on Friday 15 September at 12:00 GMT +1, sponsored by Taylor & Francis, where viewers can watch the six finalist presentations and cast a vote for the People's Choice Winner. Please share with your researchers so they can register on the Vitae 3MT® platform to watch and vote.

In the meantime, there are some excellent research communication and presentation skills on display from the 54 institutional finalists, whose videos are now available on our YouTube channel.

With the impending Vitae 3MT® competition final, and institutions planning for next year’s 3MT® competitions, it is a timely point to share the fifth recording of our 3MT® series in which last year’s finalists give their advice for doctoral researchers planning to take part in a future 3MT® competition.

National Postdoc Conference (NDPC) 2023

As part of NDPC 2023 preparations, a virtual round table on the Concordat to support the career development of researchers will be taking place on 8 September. The panel will be made up of researchers and researcher development professionals and will include Dr Yolana Pringle, Policy and Evidence Manager, Vitae. The findings from the session will be presented in one of the talks at NPDC. Please forward on to research staff in your networks who might like to register to attend.

Kind regards,

Rachael
