Call for Expressions of Interest for the Vitae Digital Transformation working group

Interested in joining the Vitae Digital Transformation working group? Express your interest now!

We are pleased to be developing a Digital Transformation working group to support our ongoing work to improve the online experience of Vitae.

While the Vitae website hosts a fantastic array of content and resources, we are keenly aware that, as it is now almost ten years old, it can be challenging to navigate and needs updating to meet today’s digital expectations.

Over the past year, we have conducted a discovery process to help us understand the needs of the Vitae’s various audiences; we have consulted with members during workshops at the Vitae International Researcher Development Conference 2023 and have conducted user research, both through an external supplier, and through our participation on the Deloitte Digital Connect programme

We are now looking to form a Vitae Digital Transformation working group to support the development and implementation of the new website.

The remit of the new group will be to:

  • Provide feedback and advice on Vitae’s content strategy for the new website

  • Contribute to the shape and functionality of the website by reviewing wireframes and plans for website architecture as they develop

  • Help us to ensure that the website is accessible for all

  • Test website usability, connecting us with stakeholders in their networks to help with user research and testing

It is expected that the group will comprise between 10-15 individuals who are representative of the diverse views of the Vitae membership community, both in the UK and internationally. We are looking for people in all roles, including researcher developers, careers specialists, training coordinators, research managers and researchers.

There is no expectation of prior digital expertise or experience. This working group will be an important link for sharing what we are learning through the digital transformation process with our community.

The group will meet online no more than three times in 2024 and may involve a limited amount of offline work such as testing and feeding back via email. In September we will review our progress on the project and determine the best way forward for the working group.

Expressions of interest should be submitted by 8 April 2024.
