Equality and Diversity: Actions for All

These ten practical actions are designed to support and complement existing initiatives eg. Athena Swan and the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers. They are intended to provide individuals with key strategies to implement in order to really address diversity across the nine protected characteristics as defined by the Equality Challenge Unit. The actions have been developed during the last 12 months as part of the Every Researcher Counts project, through consultation with research professionals, HR Managers, research leaders and equality and diversity practitioners.
Actions for All has been released at Equality and Diversity: Progress and Challenges in leading researchers – 26th January, Holiday Inn, Bloomsbury where there our participants discussed implementation of the actions alongside contributions from Professor Dianne Berry, OBE, Professor Yvonne Galligan OBE and Dame Athene Donald.
