HR Excellence in Research Award: event report and slides now available

Vitae has published a report and slides from the January event dedicated to the HR Excellence in Research Award process.
'HR Excellence in Research Award: exploring strategies for evaluation, evidence and future directions' event provided an update on current strategy at European level, a chance for practitioners to input into the consultation process for the development of a European Strategy for the HRS4R to 2020 and an opportunity to share practice and experiences related to the evaluation of the Award at the UK level, both from an internal and external perspective.
We are now inviting all Vitae members to input into the consultation by adding your voice to a discussion on our online Vitae Member Community.
This is your chance to redefine the current HR Excellence in Research Award process and define an approach to quality assessment.
The event report includes:
- the activities of the Expert group reviewing the step-wise process to define a new approach to ensure sustainability.
- key outcomes from the 3 workshops held at the event:
- Exploring methods to track research staff careers to inform short and long term evaluation
- The role of PIs in managing talent: exploring the evidence and future models for evaluation
- The role of employment status in recognising researcher contributions and gathering evidence about the implementation of the Concordat principles
Please join our community and share your views by 27 February. Vitae will feed your views into the European Commission’s consultation and will reflect on the feedback in terms of the process and practice between Vitae members.
