ICORSA and EURODOC join forces

Vitae welcomes a new Memorandum of Understanding between two leading researcher organisations, the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers (Eurodoc) and the International Consortium of Research Staff Associations (ICoRSA)

Eurodoc, is an international federation of 35 national organisations of doctoral candidates and other researchers who are not yet fully independent. Eurodoc envisions a European Research Area and European Higher Education Area in which doctoral candidates and junior researchers are duly recognised and respected for the essential roles they play in the research community

ICoRSA is managed by its members who are associations that support researchers within national, regional or international contexts. It envisions a global community of internationally networked researchers with a collective voice to influence international policy to ensure that researchers' contributions are recognised and fairly rewarded through sustainable careers. It aims to address common challenges shared by an international research workforce.

Gordon Dalton, current Chair and founder of ICoRSA said:

‘We are delighted to be formally working with Eurodoc to advance researcher careers in Europe and across the world. It’s important that the organisations representing researchers work closely together to improve working conditions and career structures for our early career researchers’
