The European Commission publishes report on certification for HR management of researchers

12/03/2014
In 2013 the European Commission launched a feasibility study into the development of a certification mechanism for human resources management in Europe.

An information note was published explaining the rationale which refers to the 2012 European Commission Communication on the European Research Area, which stated the Commission would look into a 'European Accreditation Mechanism for Charter & Code based human resources management in universities and publicly-funded research institutions'.

In August Vitae set out a UK position as the European Commission consulted on a certification for HR management of researchers.

The final report of this feasibility study can now be found on the EURAXESS website.

The Commission will now analyse the results, and together with relevant stakeholders, hold a series of meetings in 2014 and 2015 to discuss the next steps.
