Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) UK competition
The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition challenges doctoral candidates to present a compelling spoken presentation on their research topic and its significance to a non-specialist audience. 3MT is an academic competition developed by the University of Queensland, Australia, which has spread to universities around the world.
Vitae are proud to sponsor the 2nd UK national finals. We’ve had so many entries this year that winners from local competitions will go through to semi-finals at the University of York on July 14. Six finalists will present to another panel of judges at the Vitae national conference on September 9.
The competition is designed to encourage researchers to consolidate their ideas and crystallise their research discoveries and not to trivialise or ‘dumb down’ research. Contact us with any questions or if you may be interested in taking part in 2015.
