UK sets out position as the European Commission consults on a certification for HR management of researchers

09/08/2013
Professor Sir Adrian Smith has written a letter to the Commissioner,on behalf of the Concordat Strategy Group, which sets out the final UK position statement in response to the HR certification proposed by the European Commission.

We would like to thank everyone who responded to the survey which informed the final position.

The UKRSA has also provided an endorsement to the UK position statement.

Vitae has now also published briefing note for institutions responding directly to Technopolis, who are undertaking the feasibility study, are seeking feedback directly via an online survey.

A few weeks ago, as part of the next steps from the HR Strategies for Researchers event, Vitae invited comments from colleagues in UK HEIs and stakeholder organisations, to inform a UK position statement in response to the feasibility study initiated by the European Commission to explore an HR certification process.

There will be an update on the key themes emerging from the feasibility study on the formal accreditation run by Technopolis at the Vitae Researcher Development International Conference in Manchester on 4-5 September.

Read the letter.

The survey closed on 31 August 2013.
