HESA publishes DLHE consultation responses
Vitae welcomes the result of HESA’s consultation which was conducted to support its fundamental review of destinations and outcomes data for graduates from higher education.
We are pleased to observe that the feedback from Vitae and others requesting more information on work experience (placements/internships) has been noted in the consultation analysis. We also made the point that the DLHE survey’s current extension for doctoral graduates provides a unique source of information about them - which has been used in our 'What do researchers do?” publications. We welcome the idea that a revised survey could provide more insight into career decision-making and measures of career satisfaction other than pay, and that everybody seems to agree that running this survey six months after graduation is too early.
