Are you a dynamic and outstanding leader with extensive knowledge and experience of researcher development in higher education? Do you have excellent project leadership and management experience?
We are seeking an exceptional Head of Higher Education Engagement who can work with our community and membership to lead and deliver our higher education engagement strategy and support the Senior Management Team (SMT) by contributing to our overall strategic development and growth. Working with counterparts in stakeholder and partner organisations, you will develop and deliver agreed strategic aims and contracts, gathering evidence of reach and impact and provide regular reporting to senior management, Trustees and the higher education community.
Reporting to the CEO, you will provide strong management of the team and our associates, responsible for performance and delivery in a matrix environment; working closely with the Director of Development and Head of Finance.

Ideal candidate:
- Substantial experience of working with universities in the UK and internationally in relation to researcher, staff or career development
- Experience of training and career development activity, and/or research in HE education or careers
- Experience of building engagement strategies
- Excellent proven programme and project management skills, preferably recognised through a professional qualification
- Experience of successfully delivering a wide variety of projects on time and on budget
- Confidence and authority to build trust and respect with internal and external stakeholders
- Track record of growing business following successful delivery of projects
- Knowledge of research skills
- Business awareness with sensitivity to non-commercial goals
- Customer and member focused
- Preferable experience of developing researchers within a higher education institution
