Book your place now! Preparing Researchers for an Unknown Future: Cultures, Behaviours & Mindsets

Our our first face-to-face event of the year: 'Preparing Researchers for an unknown Future; Cultures, Behaviours & Mindsets' takes place on 25 January in Birmingham. This highly practical and relevant event is aimed at researcher developers and all who have a role in supporting researchers.

We will consider the culture and mindset of researchers, preparing them to be intersectorally mobile, to practice open research and to help them adapt in a changing research and political landscape through a selection of thought-provoking presentations. Participants will also learn about the exciting developments of the Academic Professional Apprenticeship Standard as well as the HEFCE funded mental health and wellbeing project.

The latest speaker to join us will be John de Pury, Assistant Director of Policy at Universities UK who will be concluding discussions for the day. John currently leads policy programmes on HE Innovation and Health and directs the UUK Health Research Networks.

Other speakers at the event will be:

David Fox, Founder, Vulpine Science & Learning; as well as Dr Sharon Maguire, Research Staff, AGCAS speaking about Intersectoral mobility
Alison Mitchell, Director of Development, Vitae, speaking about the Academic Professional Apprenticeship Standard
Frank Manista. European Open Science Manager, JISC, speaking about Open Research
Sally Wilson, Senior Research Fellow, Institute for Employment Studies; and Dr Janet Metcalfe, Head of Vitae, speaking about wellbeing and mental health.

We hope we will see you there!
