The Concordat at the Vitae Conference
As a key topic for conference attendees supporting research staff and principal investigators in the UK, the Concordat will be discussed in a number of sessions through the Vitae Researcher Development International Conference 2019, including:
The Opening Plenary What is the future we are developing researchers for? will include discussion on the creation of a positive culture for researcher careers by Dr Anne-Marie Coriat, member of the Concordat Strategy Group on behalf of Wellcome (Day 1, 10.30 am)

Workshop C7, will be a mini-symposium on the Concordat, chaired by Professor Dianne Berry OBE, Chair of the Concordat Writing Group. In this workshop, a panel of speakers will give their key questions for the future implementation of the Concordat, followed by a world café style discussion.
Participants from across Europe may be interested in thinking about how this UK development links to the European Charter and Code, the HR Excellence in Research Award, and whether any learning can be drawn into their own local context.
The full programme of plenaries, workshops, special interest sessions, posters, and networking is available now, with sessions also open for booking via the conference app.
