The Vitae Researcher Development International Conference 2019

Almost three weeks on, the pace of life has just about returned to normal in the Vitae office, and we are reflecting on this year’s conference and what we learnt together over a jam-packed two days in Birmingham.

There was a lively and rewarding buzz throughout the venue and rippling across social media, which you can check out in Sarah’s handy Twitter summary.

Speaker, workshop and Special Interest Session presentations will be available on our website soon, meanwhile photos of the event are currently available.

If you would like to be notified when bookings open for the 2020 conference, you can now register your interest.

Vitae Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition final

Sponsored by Taylor & Francis, the 3MT® competition finalists gave us a dramatic and exciting final. All six finalists presented at an exceptionally high standard. Congratulations go to Shruti Mandhani of Sheffield Hallam University who won the Judges Choice for her performance about high performance polymers and to Oluwashina Akinsanmi of Ulster University, who timed his performance about antibiotic resistance crisis to within one second and scooped the People's Choice Award.
