Community support and continuity update
Whilst the current situation brings lots of uncertainty, we want to reassure our community and clients that colleagues at CRAC and Vitae are both safe and prepared. We will continue to be available to support you and have taken steps to ensure the continuity and effectiveness of our membership and other services.
Please find information on our ways of working below:
- The CRAC/Vitae physical office is currently open with a restricted staff for essential purposes only. This will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
- The rest of the team are available through our secure and confidential remote working infrastructure. We are already set up for seamless remote access to email, telephone, cloud-based file storage and applications.
- Up to date staff contact details can be found here.
- We are prepared for all meetings, events and training to take place online for the coming weeks and potentially months. We are monitoring the latest Government advice and will provide further updates on specific services and activities.
- For general researcher development updates, information, and opportunities to engage online, please subscribe to Vitae News or visit the news and events pages.
- The CRAC Senior Management Team, together with our Board of Trustees, are conducting regular risk assessments to ensure business continuity, and the health and wellbeing of colleagues and our communities continue to be a priority. We will continue to monitor and adapt our practices in line with Government advice.
Given that many of our interactions with members, clients and the wider community already take place digitally, we anticipate minimal disruption during this transition. However, we recognise that this is a challenging time for all, and we will endeavour to provide the support and information you need.
With that in mind, we have scheduled a special edition @Vitae_news Twitter chat to share tips and ideas on working from home. We hope you can join us at 12.00 UK time on Thursday 26 March, hashtag #vitaechat.
Best wishes, stay happy and healthy
