Research culture still high on agenda
Last week, UK Science Minister, Chris Skidmore, pledged investment in research and development over the next decade including with a new 'Research People Strategy' to help improve the research environment, reinforcing many of the challenges that the Researcher Development aims to address.
Concordat signatories update
A press release by The Concordat Strategy Group (CSG) has been issued, reporting a further 17 confirmed signatories to the revised Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers, taking the total to 32 organisations and institutions across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

New Researcher Networks Vitae Member Working Group
Concordat signatories will need to consider how they can support researchers to get involved in institutional policy and understanding of the research system.
Cue the researcher networks working group!. We are looking for doctoral candidates, researchers and staff who support researchers, to help share and develop this knowledge.

Member institutions intending to register their intent to take part in this year's Vitae Three Minute Thesis competition can register online now for a chance at competing in the 2020 final in September.
