EURAXESS public engagement, science communication and researcher mobility webinar For researchers who didn’t get the chance to join the EURAXESS webinar that took place last week, the British Council (who manage EURAXESS in the UK) have kindly shared the recording of the event for Vitae subscribers. The webinar considered international and personal perspectives and experiences around researchers undertaking public engagement activities.

Vitae’s first Concordat Thematic Session - Wednesday 25 January, 14:00-15:30 GMT As part of Vitae’s support for institutions implementing the Researcher Development Concordat, we are delighted that ten HR Excellence in Research (HREiR) Award peer reviewers will be bringing their experience to the first of Vitae’s Concordat Thematic Sessions: ‘Designing success (measures): setting targets to measure impact’.

Culture, Employment and Development in Academic Research Survey (CEDARS) 2023 practice sharing event Members are invited to join a CEDARS practice sharing event in February 2023 to discuss running and engaging your researcher population through the survey.

Outputs from recent member events Members will by now have received recordings from our 'What do researchers do?' event, discussing the career outcomes of doctoral graduates from the recently launched report, as well as from our workshop on mastering the HR Excellence in Research (HREiR) Award process.

New funding call: UKRI Healthy Ageing Catalyst Awards with professional development support programme UKRI have made £1.25m available to fund a fourth round of the Healthy Ageing Catalyst Awards, around translating research beyond academia and improving aspects of older adults’ lives such as housing, communities, finances or health.

Winners receive £62,500 from UKRI and the opportunity for a 9-month enterprise/professional development support programme from Zinc. Could this be a potential project for you or your institution? Workshops are being run to find out how to prepare a strong application.
