What one winner did next

As the Vitae Three Minute Thesis competition approaches, we look back to last year's 2023 People's Choice winner, Ridzuan A-Rasid, as he shares with us what he has done since with the £1000 funding he received from the competition, from Vitae and other sponsors.

Ridzuan has helped to organise the event, 'The Goldfish Generation: Effective Multimedia Technology for Gen-Z Learning', taking place on Wednesday 11 September 2024 from 10:00am – 3:00pm at Loughborough University, London (E20 3BS).

As Ridzuan says:

'The workshop and networking event is designed to equip educators with innovative strategies tailored to the unique needs of Generation Z, whilst providing a networking platform for the design community in the UK. It covers a range of digital tools, interactive teaching methods, and engagement techniques that resonate with tech-savvy educators.'

See Ridzuan's poster below for the event and register to attend.

Researchers' Corner

Are you ready for the next academic year?

Start September with an inspirational researcher career story - we're looking at the career of Jean Wainwright, Professor at the University for the Creative Arts and Arts journalist.

Having completed her doctorate on Andy Warhol's audio tapes, Jean has since expanded her art critic career as an expert on Warhol, leading her into arts journalism, further academia, and television work with Channel 4. She is fascinated with audio and the role of the voice in interviews, as well as being passionate about teaching and lecturing.
