However, we encourage those interested in attending to join the waiting list as we may re-run the session at a different time if there is sufficient interest.
The event will be interactive, so participation and collaboration are required. We will focus on sharing and developing practical solutions, using group ideation methods such as Brainwriting and Rapid 8's.

Careers guidance to fuel economic growth
On Wednesday 11 December 2024, a roundtable event took place at the House of Lords, organised by Policy Connect and the Career Development Policy Group (CDPG).
The panel, which included the Careers, Research and Advisory Centre (CRAC), the charity that manages the Vitae programme, discussed how careers guidance can fuel economic growth.
One of the main points raised was the need for lifelong provision of careers guidance for people over the course of their lives and not just at the education stage.
The discussions follow from the recently updated Career Guidance Guarantee and the recently published Get Britain Working White Paper.
National Disability Staff Survey: Your Voice Matters
If you are a staff member working in higher education who self-identifies as disabled, neurodivergent, or living with a long-term health condition or chronic illness you have a chance to raise your views in the National Disability Staff Survey.
Your feedback will help shape RIDE HIGHER (Realising the Inclusion of Disabled Employees in Higher Education), a framework led by the National Association of Disabled Staff Networks (NADSN) to promote equity, best practices, and greater inclusion for disabled staff in the sector.
Participation is welcome from staff across academic, research, technical support, professional services, and postgraduate students working in UK higher education.
The survey is voluntary and anonymous, with no university-specific references in the final report. Ethical approval has been granted by Cardiff University.
The survey is open now and closes on Friday 31 January 2025.
